She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as savior and was baptized in water and Spirit in her teens. Her pastor during that time was M. T. Anderson of St. Mark Church of God in Christ, Riverside. It was there that she met and married Joseph L. Sims. At the time of her husband’s passing in 2005, they had been married 48 years. Beatrice has two sons, Duane and Darren, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

In 1971, the couple founded Riverside Faith Temple Church and school and she has been pastoring for 48 years with a present membership of over 300.

She has authored two books, “Journey Through James” and “Spiritual Warfare.” She has also authored seven manuals, including “Pneumatology 101” and “Walking in Dominion.”

“Pastor Bea,” as she is affectionately known to Faith Temple members, loves people and is a very “animated” teacher. She has preached, taught, and prophesied in most of these United States. In addition, she has ministered both in Africa, Mexico, and Guam. A gifted and exciting teacher, her ministry will thrill the mind and touch the spirit.

As an Apostle, Pastor Beatrice Sims is a “Pastor of Pastors” and is ever ready to pass on the tremendous wisdom she has gained throughout her life and ministry.

Her goal is abundant life in the lives of God’s people.
